The Best Plugins For Niche Websites

I’m forever being asked: “What plugins are the best plugins for niche websites?” — and don’t get me wrong, it’s a good question. When I build niche websites I always, always install the same plugins, whether it be a golf website or a muscle building website; they’ll always be the same plugins. If you’re interested in just creating niche websites and selling them, then I recommend you install of all these plugins because they’re very important to potential buyers. So without further ado, here are the plugins:

All In One SEO Pack – This is a plugin that I can’t possibly live without, it’s by far the most advanced and popular plugin when it comes to things such as WordPress blogs. Each blog that I create, the first thing I do is install this plugin, the reason I do that is because search engines love seeing the data that this plugin provides; the majority of serps these days don’t like meta keywords, but in retrospect it’s quiet good to put a few keywords in there just for the smaller search engines that still provide this feature.

On some blogs that I run I sometimes decide against putting anything in the keyword field, for the fact that a lot of people will just view source and steal your keywords. It’s unethical but people do it, so there’s a few positives and negatives to putting your keywords in the keyword field. It’s all down to you, I personally recommend putting a few keywords in there.

Clean Archives Reloaded – I tend to use this plugin a lot too, just because I love seeing my archives and a little birdy told me Google takes things such as archives into consideration when ranking websites. Since this plugin only takes a few seconds to install I decided to just install it as it does no harm. Also remember that people will be visiting your niche websites, and a lot of people are generally interested in the information that you’re providing, and these people like to read blog posts that were written months or even years back. So again, this plugin is light, smart and does no harm, so I do actually recommend that you install it on your blog.

Contact Form 7 – A truly time remarkable plugin. When I first started blogging I actually just left my email on the contact page as I wasn’t really interested in coding a contact page from scratch — yes I was lazy — but when it comes to niche websites, people are generally interested in contacting you regarding your website and the content that you’re providing.

Also remember that future advertisers might visit your website and may need a way to contact you regarding advertising, so to conclude this plugin I have to say that it’s by far one of the most useful plugins that I’ve ever used on a blog. Also, remember that Google loves to see things such as: contact pages, about pages, sitemaps and things that make a website look really professional.

Easy Privacy Policy – I’ve only just recently come across this plugin and I have to say it’s so useful! — I’ve been manually inputting my privacy policy’s and I have to say this is great. It covers all the useful stuff and I’m just glad that It’s out there to download. On every niche website I tend to include a privacy policy to cover my back and of course, if you’re building niche websites to tell, potential buyers like things such as privacy policy’s, so I do recommend that you download and install this plugin.

Google Sitemap Generator – Again, another plugin that is a must if you’re running niche websites. It’s lightweight and it’s so useful; basically what this plugin does is simple, it creates your blog a sitemap.xml — this is used by serps to index your blog and generally blogs are known to get indexed quicker with sitemaps. Go ahead and download/install this because it’s so useful and with one click you’ll have a sitemap.

WP Google Analytics – I always without failure install this plugin. One thing I can’t live without is tracking, it’s just a must for me. On every blog that I run have this plugin installed; it’s a must for me to know where exactly traffic is coming from and with this plugin it saves editing your footer.php, and installing the Google Analytics code there. All you have to do with this plugin is simply go into Google Analytics get your tracking code and paste it into the input box of this plugin. It’s so simple and again so useful.

Sitemap Generator – This isn’t a must but in terms of html sitemaps this is by far one of the best. It looks great and works great on blogs, generally I don’t install it on all of my niche websites just because I don’t like having two sitemaps, but in some cases I do install this aswell. It looks good and works; all you have to do is create a sitemap page and input a keyword to activate the plugin on the selected page; very simple and works great; I know some people will be asking me if this is a must plugin and I’ll probably say no, because this plugin is all down to preference. Go ahead and install it and if you like it then great, keep it, if not delete it.

A Sum What Of A Conclusion

To conclude: I have to say these are by far the best plugins to install when running niche websites. If you’re interested in just flipping niche websites then I recommend that you go ahead and install them all, it helps bring in potential buyers — if you list them on your advertisement — so go ahead install them. If you’re running your own niche website then I again recommend you install them all, they’re very important; in terms of search engine optimization and professionalism, these are a must. Be sure to install them and let me know what you think, and please be honest, let me know if they’re good or bad.

Personally I think they’re all good, else I wouldn’t of listed them here. Also if you get stuck installing these plugins just let me know, I can help you install them and/or guide you in the right direction; don’t worry about being learning new things, everybody learns new things and there’s always people to help. Again if you get stuck with anything just let me know; I love helping people. Also if you want to add any other plugins to this list go ahead and leave a comment below and let me know what plugins you install on your blog and niche websites, if they’re relevant I’ll add them to the list.

I’m Asking You!

So, did you find this post useful? and if you could add any plugins to this list which would you add? Be sure to let me know because I’m always open to new things and If I can find another plugin that makes my life easier, then great. Great list of plug-ins. Thanks for mentioning about Privacy Policy plug-in. It’s exactly what I am looking for :)

Great list! Though I’ve heard of (and use) most of the plugins on here, I haven’t heard of Clean Archives Reloaded. Very interesting. I’ll have to check it out!

The other plugins that I use (which are very effective, in my opinion) are WP Super Cache, WP Greet Box and Topsy Retweet Button.

Nice collection. I am personally using most of these on my blogs. What you should also add to this list is a backup plugin. There are numerous plugins out there which easily back up your blog.
