So people are always interested in learning new tips for flipping websites, and one major priority when flipping websites is trust. On Flippa it’s actually really easy to increase your trust rating, and it’s done by a few things. Before I go into the methods of increasing your trust rating I want to go over a few more issues. So when selling websites people are always hesitant to buy due to the trust of the website, the trust of the seller and things of that nature, and it really is a priority in terms of selling websites.
Below are the five things that increase your trust in Flippa and the buyers, if you add all the following you’ll find that, on your future listings your trust will be increased, and your profile will also show your trust rating.
Telephone Verification
This is mandatory and very simple, all you basically have to do is add your telephone to the website and I’m pretty sure Flippa’s automated service will call you and verify your account. I registered my account around 2/3 years ago and I can’t remember if they wanted a mobile phone or a home number, but I’m pretty sure both are useable. I really recommend you use the telephone verification as it adds a lot of trust to your rating.
Account Age
This is a small factor that you can’t really control, but one thing you can do is just be active and sell websites over at Flippa. I first registered my account 2/3 years ago and just kept it because I knew the service would be pretty big once it launched, and It seems I was correct.
User Feedback
One thing that I pride myself on is User Feedback and how I help the user. I tend to put 100% effort into helping the user transfer the website, and the majority of the time my buyers will use the Buy Now button and then I’ll transfer the website for them. You do get the odd-know-it-all, but just ignore them and be as polite as possible, remember user feedback impacts your trust rating greatly.
Linkedin Connection
This is also a very simple verification method, and it only takes a few seconds. Basically you’ll get a rating based on how much connections/information is filled in over at your Linkedin account; I know my Linkedin account isn’t that full so I only really got a small rating.
Facebook Connection
The Facebook connection is very easy to do too, all you basically have to do is give access to Flippa so that they can verify you via Facebook. Again, as I said these steps are very simple and the majority of people now’a'days have a Facebook account.
Personally I think these steps are far too easy to get a trust rating on Flippa, If I owned Flippa I’d base them all around Feedback and how the feedback is calculated. As said earlier in the post, everybody has a Facebook account and it’s not exactly hard to create a Facebook account that’s just a fraud account. It’s very easy to get scammed on Flippa so I do recommend that you read the sellers feedback before you actually buy anything of them, unless it’s a well established person and/or website.
